Rajkot: Three people including the younger brother of Jamnagar BJP MLA injured in a fight between two groups business rivalry Outside the Naira Energy Limited premises in Khambhalia taluka of Devbhoomi Dwarka district on Monday.
Revtubha Jadeja (50) has a contract to supply construction materials like bricks, sand and other items to Naira Energy. On Monday afternoon, when Revtubha and his associate Juwansinh Jadeja were overseeing the supply of construction material to the company, Rajbha Jadeja (56), younger brother of Jamnagar BJP MLA Dharmendra Singh Jadeja, and his men attacked the two.
In retaliation, Revtubha and his men also attacked the rival group with sticks and pipes. In the ensuing clash, Rajbha, Revtubha and Juwansingh suffered head injuries. While Rajbha has been admitted to a private hospital in Jamnagar, Revtubha and Juwansingh were first taken to GG Hospital in Jamnagar and later shifted to a private hospital in Rajkot.
Revtubha later told media persons in Jamnagar that the MLA’s brother Rajbha was pressuring him to give up the construction material supply contract as he wanted to do business with the company. He further alleged that Rajbha had been threatening him for the last three years on the same issue.
Police said that both the groups have filed cross complaints against each other and further investigation is on in the matter.
