JEE Main 2022: Unsatisfied with 99.9 percentile, JEE topper will appear again

JEE Main 2022: Chinmoy Moorjani from Mumbai scored 99.956 marks in the first session of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2022. This has placed him among the top scorers; However, he is dissatisfied with his score and will re-appear for the engineering entrance test.

In an interview, Chinmoy told News18, “I will also write JEE Mains 2nd session exam as it will help me to increase my score”. The 17-year-old also said that he intends to take the second session of the engineering entrance exam, which will begin on July 21, to see if he can improve his scores. He started his studies soon after finishing his 10th class board exams in 2020. He has always been interested in engineering and hopes to join one of the top IITs in the country by clearing JEE Advanced. “I have been fond of engineering since childhood. My goal is to get into a top IIT,” he said.

Soon after finishing 10th standard, he started studying for JEE Main. “While preparing for the exam I made detailed notes and ensured that I completed the study material on time. I solved previous years question papers and attempted two – three mock tests every week. Apart from this, I also attended live doubt resolution classes at the coaching institute,” he said. His father is an architect, and his mother is a stay-at-home mom. She also has a younger sister who is in class VIII. Chinmoy graduated from Ryan International School, which is affiliated to the CBSE board. He got 98% in his 10th board exam and is waiting for his 12th result.

Chinmoy is not the only one who intends to take JEE Main 2022 session 2 exam. Navya Hisaria of Rajasthan, who scored full marks or 100 percentile in the first session, intends to sit in the second session as well. The topper intends to take the second session of JEE Main 2022 for practice purposes. This will help him practice his time management skills according to the winner. Even if these students get less marks in the second term, as per the rules, the best score out of the two attempts will be counted in the final result.
