The dates for the Karnataka Pre University Board or Class 12 board exams are set to be changed once again. Now, the exams are likely to start from April 22 and end on May 5, before that, the exams were scheduled to be held from April 16 to May 6. The Karnataka Board has published a draft timetable with the examinations commencing from April 22. The board asked students and other stakeholders to submit their objections to the draft schedule by March 5.
The exam dates have been forced to change after hitting the JEE exam. The first session of engineering entrance exam is scheduled to be held from April 16 to 21, while session 2 is scheduled to be held from May 24 to 29. The Karnataka Board has revised the dates to avoid the clash of two exams.
Not only Karnataka but Telangana has also changed the dates of their board exams due to engineering entrance exams. CBSE students are also demanding a change in the exam dates as the board exams for CBSE Term 2 will begin just a few days after JEE Main.
Experts have also claimed that having all the exams in less time can affect the mental health of the students and cause stress.
