Heavy rains again in Kerala, red alert declared in eight districts and flood warning given to people living on the banks of Chalakudy and Pampa rivers

According to the IMD, a red alert has been issued for Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad and Kannur. Orange alert has been sounded in Kollam, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad and Kasaragod. Yellow alert has been issued in Thiruvananthapuram.
