  1. The limited-edition model is inspired by the aurochs, a large wild Eurasian bull, Kia says. The model gets new front and rear skid plates with tangerine accents that are inspired by the aurochs.

    The Kia Sonnet First Anniversary Edition is available with both the 1.0-litre T-GDi petrol and the 1.5-litre diesel.

  2. Tangerine accents extend to the grille and center wheel cap, while the model gets new side skid plates, door garnish and the anniversary edition emblem.
  3. The Sonnet Anniversary Edition will be available in four colors – Aurora Black Pearl, Glacier White Pearl, Steel Silver and Gravity Grey.

  5. The Kia Sonnet First Anniversary Edition is available in four configurations. This includes a 1.0-litre T-GDi petrol with 6-speed iMT and seven-speed DCT, as well as a 1.5-litre diesel with six-speed manual and automatic gearbox options.
  6. In terms of specifications, the standard variant of the Kia Sonnet gets three powertrain options – 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated SmartStream, 1.0-litre turbocharged T-GDI petrol and 1.5-litre diesel.
  7. While the naturally aspirated petrol engine is tuned to make 81 bhp and 115 Nm of peak torque, the turbocharged petrol mill makes 117 bhp and 172 Nm of peak torque. The 1.5-litre diesel engine makes 99 bhp and 240 Nm of peak torque.
  8. Transmission options include a five-speed manual on the SmartStream, while the turbo petrol gets a seven-speed DCT or a six-speed Intelligent Manual Transmission (IMT). The 1.5-litre diesel is mated to a six-speed manual and a new six-speed torque converter.

  9. In terms of features, the subcompact SUV gets paddle shifters across all automatic variants. The car now packs several segment-first features such as rear door sunshade curtains on the top-spec HTX+ and GTX+ trims. It is also equipped with segment-first voice commands for sunroof open and close feature, which will be available on HTX, HTX+, GTX+ trims. Other additional features include a sunroof, smart keys with push-button start, remote engine start, chrome door handles, crystal cut alloys with silver wheel caps and more.
  10. Kia is now offering safety features such as Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Brake Assist (BA), and Hill Assist Control (HAC) as standard on the Sonet.
