Kolkata Metro will run additional services from tomorrow. details here

NS Kolkata Metro Metro Railway, Kolkata on Monday said it will run 10 additional daily services on weekdays.

“Metro will run 256 daily services (128 UP and 128 DN) instead of 246 services from 07:30 hrs to 22:30 hrs from Monday to Friday 15.09.2021 (Wednesday) for the convenience of the passengers.” Informed Metro Railway, Kolkata by an official statement.

Out of these services, 148 services (74 UP and 74 DN) will run between Kavi Subhash and Dakshineswar. Metro services will run at an interval of 5 minutes from 09:00 AM during peak morning hours. By 10:30. in UP direction and at 09:00. till 10:00. Metro services in DN direction in DN direction will also run at an interval of 5 minutes from 10:30 hrs. By 11:00 am. Metro services will run at an interval of 5 minutes from 17:00 during peak evening hours. By 18:30. in the UP direction and at 17:00. By 18:00. Metro services in DN direction in DN direction will also run at an interval of 5 minutes from 18:30 hrs. until 19:00.

32 services (16 UP & 16 DN) will be operated from Mahanayak Uttam Kumar station during peak hours of morning and evening. Of these, 15 services (7 UP and 8 DN) will run between Mahanayak Uttam Kumar and Dakshineswar stations. The services introduced between Mahanayak Uttam Kumar and Dakshineswar/Dumdum will cater to the needs of large number of passengers traveling in this section. The service has been planned so that passengers wishing to travel beyond Mahanayak Uttam Kumar do not have to wait long and can avail the services within 10 minutes.
