KPCC working president R. Dhruvanarayan passed away

62-year-old Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) working president R. Dhruvanarayana passed away in Mysore on Saturday morning.

Sources said Mr Dhruvanarayan, a former MP representing Chamarajanagar Lok Sabha constituency, suffered a heart attack on Saturday morning and died at his residence in Mysuru.

Confirming the death, KPCC spokesperson M. Lakshman said Mr. Dhruvanarayana had returned from Bengaluru on Friday and was scheduled to visit Bengaluru again on Saturday.

Mr Dhruvanarayana was among the Congress party candidates for the Nanjangud assembly constituency ticket in Mysuru in the coming elections.

He has left behind his wife and two sons.

Leader of the Opposition Siddaramaiah and KPCC president DK Shivakumar condoled the sudden demise of the leader, an important face of the party in the old Mysore region.
