Kriti Sanon recently spoke openly on body shaming
In a recent interview, Kriti Sanon revealed that many people have criticized her for her ‘gummy smile’ and flabby nostrils.
With the release of five films, 2022 is going to be a jam-packed year for Kriti Sanon. The 31-year-old actress, who has received a positive response for her character in the film Mimi, recently opened up about the negativity on her appearance. In a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Kriti revealed that many people have criticized her for her “gummy smile” and “nostril puffy”.
Citing an incident during which the actress was advised to “pull her waist a little more”, Kriti said that she has been subjected to body shaming. In response to the criticism, the actress said that she would not modify her physical traits and that she is “not a plastic doll.”
Kriti further said that unknowingly many people will notice her smile. According to the 31-year-old star, social media and the prevalence of face-changing apps and filters have increased the need to look flawless. Apart from this, she was also advised to overline her lips to make them look fuller. Kriti revealed that though she tried once, she didn’t like how they looked.
Kriti said not every little criticism should be taken seriously and she doesn’t see any reason to change anything about herself. Kriti said in the same interview that she was earlier encouraged to play minor roles in films because she “couldn’t find anything better.” He also noted how he had previously been replaced by Star Kids in major film productions. Kriti said, “Yes, many times I auditioned for a film where they were looking for a new artist and they went with a star kid.”
Coming back to her busy year, Kriti has some exciting projects under her sleeve like Ganpat with her Hindi debut co-star Tiger Shroff, Bhideya with Varun Dhawan. She will also be seen in Aadipurush alongside Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan. Her other projects include Bachchan Pandey with Akshay Kumar as well as Kartik Aaryan’s Shehzada.
