Laundering case: Unitech founder Ramesh Chandra, daughter-in-law arrested by ED Delhi News – Times of India

New Delhi: Ed arrested on monday Ramesh Chandra, founder of Unitech group, and their daughter-in-law Preeti Chandra, wife of Sanjay Chandra who is currently in jail in a money laundering case against the group.
Officials said the agency has also arrested Rajesh Malik, an executive of Carnoustie Management (India) Pvt Ltd, who is allegedly linked to the case.
Chandra’s two sons, Ajay and Sanjay, are lodged in Mumbai’s Taloja jail after the SC directed that they be shifted from here. Tihar When the ED approached him with proof of running a secret office near him, misappropriating home buyers’ money.
The Supreme Court took cognizance of the fact that both the brothers were doing business with Tihar in connivance with the jail staff. The ED has alleged that the brothers and the group illegally diverted Rs 2,000 crore to Cyprus and the Cayman Islands.
