A court here on Wednesday convicted two people, including a former BJP district unit president, and sentenced them to life imprisonment in a nearly nine-year-old murder case.
Superintendent of Police Hemraj Meena said that the additional district court also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 each on former BJP district unit president Udayan Singh and Ranjit Dubey.
The officer said that on January 18, 2013, Budh Narayan Dubey, a resident of Purab Shara village under Paschim Shara police station area, was shot dead.
In this connection, a case has been registered against Udayan Singh and Ranjit Dubey on the complaint of the victim’s family members.
