Army personnel recovered the bodies of the terrorists after recovering two AK rifles, one Chinese M-16 rifle and other ammunition from the area.

Taking to Twitter, Kashmir Zone Police wrote, “Army & Baramulla Police neutralize 3 Infiltrators (FTs) near Madian Nanak Post in Kamalkot Sector of Uri. More details to follow.”

Notably, this is the fourth infiltration attempt by the Indian Army in the last three days along the LoC in the Union Territory. According to PRO (Defense) Srinagar as quoted by ANI, the operation was launched on the basis of specific inputs from Army intelligence agencies.

On 24 August, the attempt was detected by intensive surveillance of the suspected area. The terrorists were hoping to use cover of foliage and incessant rain to infiltrate.

On August 23, the army foiled the third infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in Pallanwala area of ​​Akhnoor sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday night. Soldiers on Wednesday recovered two bodies of Pakistani terrorists who were killed in a previous infiltration attempt after they stepped into a mine.

Hussain told news agency ANI, “I was sent here along with three to four other terrorists. We were given money by Pakistani Colonel Yunus Chaudhry to carry out a ‘fidayeen’ attack on Indian soldiers after they crossed the Line of Control. Were.”

However, the arrested terrorist was shot while his accomplices fled from the spot. On recovery, Hussain also told that he too had come here in 2016, but failed to attack the army personnel.
