How to make beetroot uttapam at home | Easy Recipe of Beetroot Uttapam

  1. Pour the idli/dosa batter in a large bowl. you can use readymade or homemade batter for this recipe. In the same bowl, add beetroot (grated or pureed). Mix well to make a lush, pink colored batter.
  2. Pour oil on a hot pan and later pour the batter on it. Do not spread the batter thinly. Make a thick pancake shape.
  3. Add chopped vegetables like onions, tomatoes, capsicum and green chillies over the uttapam. Press them gently into the batter.
  4. Drizzle more oil around the edges of the uttapam. Cover for a few minutes. Later, turn it over and cook from the other side as well.
  5. Garnish the uttapam with coriander and serve it with coconut chutney.
