L&T Edutech appoints Sabyasachi Das as CEO

L&T EdutTech, the recently launched virtual learning subsidiary Larsen And ToubroThe company on Saturday appointed Sabyasachi Das as its Chief Operating Officer. The group was launched L&T Edutech On Friday, October 15.

Das will lead L&T Edutech, which will provide an industry-based, application-based, robust learning platform for students and aspiring professionals, firmly rooted in technology, across all engineering and major industries, the company said in a statement. Technology will affect the workspaces.

Das said on his appointment, “It is exciting to be associated with a large and reputed brand like L&T and to take the reins to lead a new venture that aims to empower the youth of India to enhance their employability.”

“The L&T Edutech platform has been in the making for the past 18 months and with a rich repository of curated, rich, application-oriented content, we are now ready to take our offering to the market. With the in-depth knowledge and extensive experience that exists within L&T, our new business offers both students and professionals the opportunity to learn from the Masters.”

L&T forays into the virtual learning space with the launch of L&T Edutech as the industry witnessed growth on the back of the Covid-19-mandated lockdown.

L&T Edutech College Connect offers three verticals of professional and vocational skilling as well as an assessment and certification process. While College Connect will empower students with practical and application-based learning, Professional Skilling will enable aspiring professionals to fast-track careers in their domain, the company said after the launch of the platform. Vocational Skills includes skill certification programs designed by industry experts for better employability.

A rigorous process of learning, assessing, certifying and engaging skills, and a faculty of subject matter experts from industry, academia and L&T to add a new dimension to the platform-based, hybrid learning and skilling infrastructure is ready. the group said.
