Patiala : Ropar Police In Punjab An inter-state gang involved in illegal arms trade has been busted and five people have been arrested in a special operation.

The accused have been identified as Luvdeep Singh alias Bhau, a resident of Kot Ise Khan village in Moga, Pradeep Singh alias Babbu, a resident of Bagli Kalan village, Samrala, Ludhiana, and Harpreet Singh alias Happy, a resident of Mira Kot village, Amritsar Rural. . Police said three live cartridges and three .32 bore country-made pistols were recovered from them.
A case has been registered against the three accused under Section 25/54/59 of the Arms Act.
Similarly, Inderpreet Singh alias Preet Gurthri of Gurthari village of Bhikhi in Mansa district has been arrested with a country-made pistol and one cartridge. Harmandeep Singh alias Harman after interrogation tarn taran One cartridge and one country-made .32 bore pistol was arrested.
Police said that the accused were involved in smuggling of illegal arms from other states and during interrogation they admitted to buying these weapons from Balwari. Madhya Pradesh, for Rs 20,000 per pistol and had already sold about 25 such weapons.
