Lucknow girl stays at home with mother’s body for more than 10 days without informing family, police

Ankita Dixit, a 26-year-old girl from Lucknow, was staying at home with her mother’s body in the next room for more than 10 days. He had neither informed the Lucknow Police nor informed his family members that his mother had died.

In Indira Nagar, Lucknow, a girl was staying at home with her mother’s body for more than 10 days. The girl, identified as 26-year-old Ankita Dixit, was in one room while her mother’s body was lying in another room.

He had not even informed any of his family members about his mother’s death.

The incident came to light when neighbors noticed a strange smell emanating from the house and informed the police. Lucknow Police, who reached the spot, recovered the body of retired Sunita Dixit from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).

Initially when the police entered the residence, they found the main door locked. But he heard a woman’s voice. When they knocked on the door, Ankita Dixit, the 26-year-old daughter of the deceased, did not open the house and started protesting. Seeing no other option, the police called a carpenter and broke open the door and entered the house.

Entering the house, the Lucknow Police saw that Ankita was lying in one room and her mother was lying in another. It was told that Ankita’s mental condition is not good.

The police were stunned to see the girl in the room. The girl was not able to talk much and after some questions it was found that she is the daughter of the deceased.

The dead body is said to be about 10 days old. Police have taken the body in possession and sent it for post-mortem. After the post-mortem report is ready, further legal action will be taken on the basis of it.

However, the cause of the woman’s death is yet to be ascertained. The deceased retired HAL engineer Sunita had divorced her husband Rajneesh Dixit 10 years ago. She was also battling cancer and with the help of her 26-year-old daughter.
