In a Twitter post on Sunday, Chouhan expressed grief over the incident without naming the Karni Sena.

“Recently, foul language was used during an agitation. People have the right to criticize the chief minister, but the use of abusive language for my childhood mother (Chouhan’s mother) who passed away years ago has disturbed me.

He said that an apology has been given in this matter.

In another tweet, Chouhan said he is committed to the welfare of all and has worked for the development of all sections of the society and will continue to do so in future.

After the video of the protest in Bhopal surfaced, Karni Sena office bearers in MP apologized for using such language and said that they were not part of the main protest.

Members of Kirar Samaj and OBC Mahasabha staged a protest in Gwalior on Friday and submitted a memorandum to police officials over the language used against Chauhan.
