Selfie Latest Update: Akshay KumarEmraan Hashmi is all set to entertain the audience with his upcoming film. Titled Selfie, the film marks the on-screen pairing of Akshay and Enram for the first time. While details about the film have been kept under wraps, both the actors teased the plot of the film with a new post. The makers of upcoming action drama film ‘Selfie’ on Sunday unveiled the motion poster.
Akshay Kumar shared the poster on Instagram, which he captioned, “Fans make a star. Fans can break a star too! Find out what happens when a fan turns against their idol. On February 24 Watch #Selfie in theatres.” Directed by Raj Mehta, the film stars Akshay Kumar, Emraan Hashmi, Diana Penty and Nushrat Bharucha. With a unique story and charming new onscreen pairing of Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi for the first time, the film is all set to hit the theaters on 24th February this year.
Soon after the makers unveiled the official motion poster, fans flooded the comments section with red hearts and fire emoticons. “Waiting for this blockbuster movie,” commented a fan. Another fan wrote, “Can’t wait for this blockbuster.” The makers will soon release the official trailer of the film.
‘Selfie’ is the official Hindi remake of the Malayalam film ‘Driving License’, which starred Prithviraj and Suraj Venjaramoodu in lead roles. Akshay and Emraan will reprise their roles in the remake. Raj Mehta came on board to steer the project. It is produced by Late Aruna Bhatia, Hiroo Yash Johar, Supriya Menon. Karan JoharPrithviraj Sukumaran, Apoorva Mehta and Listin Stephen.
Apart from ‘Selfie’, it is speculated that the ‘Jannat 2’ actor is going to portray a negative character opposite Salman Khan In Yash Raj film ‘Tiger 3’. An official announcement from the makers is still awaited.
