Madhya Pradesh: Shivraj Singh Chouhan government in action in case of molestation of women, SP transferred

The Madhya Pradesh government on Wednesday transferred District Superintendent of Police (SP) Sanjay Singh over his handling of the molestation case involving some girls in a school in Dindori district. This order has come despite Holi being a holiday. An official said that Singh has been made Assistant Inspector General (SIG) at Bhopal Police Headquarters. Sources said that how do we reason over the way Shivraj Singh Chouhan negotiated the molestation case.

In this case, a police officer on duty was given suspense on Wednesday morning. Dindori SP Singh on Tuesday registered a case of duty on the complaint of some girls in the school run by Jabalpur Diocesan Education Society of Roman Catholic community. The charge of guilty was ordered to sock an hypersensitivity. About 60 km from the district headquarters, some girl students had filed a complaint against a chaplain, a nan, the headmaster and a guest teacher of Junwani’s school on March 4, complaining of assault and molestation.

Priyank Kanungo, chairman of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), met girl students and officials on Tuesday. After the meeting, Dindori Superintendent of Police Sanjay Singh said that the case against the accused headmaster was not registered under the Caste/Scheduled Tribes Act and Vijay Patle, in charge of Samanpur police station, has been suspended for releasing the incident.

From its official Twitter handle, Twitter Twitter Logo said that the organization which allegedly sexually abused children was receiving funding from the government. He said that government money was being taken in the name of four different houses in the same campus and license was also being collected from the children. He claimed that ‘visions of religious conversion’ have also been found in the institute.

The police have also registered a case against 10 leaders of the Gondwana Republic Party (GGP) on charges of obstructing public servants in the discharge of their duty, said CK Sirame, in-charge of Kotwali police station. Earlier, the SP had informed that Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code (assault or criminal force to a woman with intent to outrage her modesty), sexual contact, was registered against the 40-year-old principal and 35-year-old guest teacher on the night of March 4. A case was registered under the Protection of Children (POCSO) Act and the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act.

The SP said the 40-year-old priest has been booked as the ‘caretaker’ of the school, while the nun (55) has been accused of beating up the girls. Right now only the headmaster can be arrested.
