Mahindra & Mahindra has revealed that XUV700 It has crossed the 1.5 lakh booking mark in just 11 months since its launch in the Indian market. Launched in September last year, the XUV700 has been a huge success in the country, thanks to the segment-first features on offer, multiple powertrains on offer and competitive prices.
These factors together translated into a huge demand for Mahindra SUVs. Some segment-first equipment that includes the XUV700 Adasi functionality, memory function for powered driver seat, Alexa connectivity, large dual 10.25-inch screens (infotainment and instrument cluster), flush door handles, all-wheel drive system, and so on.
Other features on the car include a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, 7 airbags, an electronic parking brake, LED headlights and taillights. The SUV can be had with either a 5-seat setup or a three-row 7-seat layout.
The XUv700 is powered by two engines – a 2.0-litre turbo petrol unit making 200 PS and 380 Nm, as well as a 2.2-litre diesel engine offered in two states i.e. 155 PS/360 Nm, and 185 PS/ 420 Nm (450 Nm with AT). These powertrains make it more powerful than the Tata Harrier and all its direct rivals including Safari, MG Hector and Hector Plus, and Hyundai Alcazari, Also, in the form of optional all-wheel drive configuration (AWD), the XUV700 has more up its sleeves on these rivals.
The XUV700 price currently starts at Rs 13.18 lakh, going up to Rs 24.58 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom) for the top-end trim.
