Make Dahi Bhalla in 10 minutes with the recipe of Chef Pankaj Bhadauria

Who doesn’t love street food? While street foods like samosas, chaats and kachoris serve as comfort food, perfect to be enjoyed in bustling stalls, they can also be easily prepared at home. The dishes are made from ingredients that are easily available and widely used such as potatoes, chickpeas, lentils and curd. One such popular street food is Dahi Bhalla, which is essentially deep-fried urad dal dumplings served with cold sweet curd and spicy chutney, making it perfect for summers. Chef Pankaj Bhadauria has shared a video of making the perfect Dahi Bhalla in just 10 minutes.

In the video explaining the recipe, the MasterChef winner said, “Instant 10 min Dahi Bhalla. Make the softest, spongy moist Dahi Bhalla in just 10 minutes! You don’t need any special occasion to indulge in these heavenly and delicious Dahi Bhalla, just some daal and curd!

Here are the ingredients needed to make Instant Dahi Bhalla:

– 1 cup urad dal

– 2 cups curd (thick)

— Water

— Oil

— Salt

— Sugar

– Roasted cumin powder

— chilli powder

— Pomegranate

Follow these steps to make Instant Dahi Bhalla:

Take 1 cup urad dal and grind it finely.

Make a paste by adding 1 cup of water to the powder and mixing it well.

After the paste is ready, keep it for five minutes.

– Add another cup of water and whisk the batter till it rises.

To see if the batter is ready for use, put an equal amount of peas in a bowl of water. If the batter floats, it is ready to use.

After this, heat oil in a pan on medium heat.

Now make dumplings from the batter with wet palms and put them in hot oil to make Bhalla.

Dip the cooked Bhallas in water, then squeeze them and spread them on a plate.

Take curd in a bowl and add salt and sugar to it.

Pour curd on top of the bowl.

Add spicy tamarind chutney and green chutney.

Sprinkle roasted cumin powder and chili powder.

– Garnish with pomegranate seeds
