Malayalam screenwriter S. Narayana Swamy is all set to direct at the age of 72

S Narayana Swamy made his debut as a screenwriter in 1984 with Chakkaryumma.

S Narayana Swamy is one of the famous screenwriters in the Indian film industry. He has predominantly worked in Malayalam cinema . He is particularly known for scripting films in the thriller genre and has mostly directed K. Has collaborated with directors like Madhu, Joshi and AK Sajan. However, after working as a screenwriter for 43 years, he is now all set to make his first film at the age of 72.

According to reports, Swamy’s debut film will not be a thriller but a romantic drama. Young actor Dhyan Sreenivasan will play the lead role in SN Swamy’s upcoming film. The puja ceremony for the film will be held in Kochi on Vishu day, April 15. The film is also written by Swamy. As per sources the major part of the shooting will take place in Tamil villages like Tiruchendur, all the official updates about the film will be shared at the launch event.

Sivaram, son of SN Swamy, is the co-director of the film. The yet-to-be-titled film is being produced by P Rajendra Prasad, chairman of the Ernakulamthappan Temple Welfare Committee.

On the professional front, Swamy made his debut as a screenwriter in 1984 with Chakkaryumma. The film was directed by Saajan and produced by Jagan Appachan and featured Madhu, Srividya, Mammootty and Jagathy Sreekumar in lead roles. Later he worked in many films like Kudum Thedi, Ennum Nathante Nimmi, Mounam Samadham, Oru Abhishekanta Case Diary, Aayiram Navulla Ananth, Balaram Vs Thaardas and Sagar aka Jackky Reloaded.

Along with this, Swamy has created many famous fictional characters in Malayalam films such as Sethuram Iyer (played by Mammootty) and Sagar aka Jackie. (portrayed by Mohanlal). Sagar Alias ​​Jacky, a famous gold smuggler was the protagonist in Irupatham Noottandu (1987) and its spiritual descendant, Sagar Alias ​​Jacky Reloaded (2009). Sethurama Iyer, the protagonist of the CBI film series, was inspired by Radhavinod Raju, a real-life police officer who retired as the head of India’s National Investigation Agency. Some of his other works include Inspector Balram, a police officer played by Mammootty in Avanazi (1986) and its sequel Balram vs Thardas (2006), and Ali Imran, a police officer played by Mohanlal in Munam Mura (1988).
