20-year-old Matadkani was sentenced to eight months of simple imprisonment and fined Rs 5,500 by a city magistrate court for damaging the door of a Canara Bank ATM in Matadakani.
Manish was accused of throwing stones at the glass door of an ATM and damaging it on July 9, 2020. Then the Barke Police Sub Inspector Haroon Akhtar had filed the charge sheet.
Sixth Judicial Magistrate First Class, HS Poojashree sentenced Manish to eight months’ imprisonment and a fine of ₹2,000 for the offense punishable under section 2(a) of the Karnataka Prevention of Damage to Person and Property Act.
The magistrate imposed a fine of ₹3,500 for the offense punishable under section 427 of the Indian Penal Code.
