Manchester United look like a completely different side under their new manager, Eric ten Haag. The Red Devils have made a decent start to their pre-season campaign with two thumping wins. In their opening match of the pre-season tour, United defeated rivals Liverpool 4–0 in Bangkok. The team then traveled to Australia and came back from behind to beat Melbourne Victory 4-1 in their second friendly on Friday.
After a terrific 2021-22 season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnik, early signs under Ten Haag look positive. The former Ajax coach has made a mark of his authority at the club and demands high standards from his players.
Prior to the game against Liverpool, the Premier League giants hosted an open training session where local fans and the whole world got a glimpse of United’s training session under Ten Haag’s rule.
The new manager’s training methods piqued the interest of a Twitter user who has released an interesting thread reconstructing the training session on social media.
One Twitter user, who describes himself in his bio as a Level 1 PFSA opposition analyst, published the thread offering “insights on new employees, their training structure and precepts.”

This thread focuses on Ten Haig’s careful planning and attention to minute details during their training sessions. It explains everything from drills to penalties and schedule to player’s performance, that too in an efficient and logical manner.
In addition to his tactical work in training, the Dutch manager has also attempted to strengthen the side by bringing in new additions to the club. Ten Haag was instrumental in the signing of Tyrell Malasia from Feyenoord earlier this month.
He was also instrumental in the most recent signing of United defender Lisandro Martinez, whom he coached at his former club Ajax. Manchester United have also signed Christian Eriksson from Brentford as a free agent.
Manchester United loyalists will be looking for salvation in the Ten Haig era as they begin their Premier League campaign against Brighton at Old Trafford on 7 August.
