Monitoring of thief lifts from traffic post. Surat News – Times of India

Surat: Sarthana police on Friday registered a case of theft against an unidentified person who allegedly stole a computer monitor worth Rs 10,000 from a traffic police post. The thief allegedly broke into the Simda Naka post by breaking the front door in the early hours of Friday and eloped with the monitor.
The theft came to light when the traffic police personnel came to work in the morning. Theft complaint was filed by Shailesh RathodInspector.
While leaving after duty last night, the traffic police personnel closed the gate of the outpost. There is not much public movement in that area during the night.
The thief broke through a part of the door and entered the checkpoint and finding nothing suitable for theft in the checkpoint, he chose to keep the computer in the car which he could easily ‘pick up’.
Police is trying to identify the thief CCTV Footage recovered from the scene Some suspects have been apprehended, but the police are yet to confirm whether the thief has been arrested or not. “It is not clear whether the person intentionally targeted the post. It will be known only after interrogating the accused that why the theft was done at the police post.
