MP: Man thrashes daughter after coming home late from Navratri pandal
A 10-year-old girl was allegedly beaten to death by her father after getting angry when she came home late after playing with other children at a Navratri pandal in Morena, Madhya Pradesh. The police gave this information on Monday.
The incident is from Uttampura area of Morena city on Sunday night and the accused has been arrested.
Thana Road station in-charge Ashish Rajput said that 40-year-old accused Rakesh Jatav repeatedly beat up his daughter with a stick when she returned home at around 9 pm after playing in the tableau put up on the occasion along with other children. He died because of Navratri.
He said that after getting information about the incident, the police reached the spot and arrested the accused under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
