Mumbai Indians elected captain of the Indian women’s cricket team Harmanpreet Kaur and paid a record amount for the England international Nat Sciver at the WPL auction on Monday. While Harmanpreet was bought for Rs 1.8 crore, Sciver became the joint-highest foreign player along with the Australian all-rounder. Ashley Gardner Because he was paid Rs 3.2 crore. Along with Harmanpreet, two other internationals from India – Pooja Vastrakar And yestika bhatia – also attracted a substantial price tag.
Harmanpreet told Sports 18, “I am feeling great, I have always seen Mumbai Indians doing well in IPL and now I also have a chance to be a part of the team.”
