Shahid Kapoor took to Twitter to express his gratitude

PVR Cinemas recently announced special screenings of popular romantic movies to celebrate Valentine’s Week from February 10 to 16.When we met’ It was one of those films that released across the theatres, giving fans a golden chance to re-live the greatest on-screen love stories of all time. One such clip shared on Twitter showed the excitement and enthusiasm of the fans as the film hit the big screen after 16 years.

A Twitter user shared a video from the theater and wrote, “Almost 16 years later #JabWeMet #ValentinesWeek running housefull without any promotion in social media talks about a cult romantic comedy. @shahidkapoor bhai public in theater Let’s check out the reactions, you will love it.”

The video shows fans hooting and cheering as Shahid Kapoor and Kareena sing the peppy song ‘fun and fun’ The film was being played on the big screen. Some fans were also seen dancing and recreating the hook step of the song sung by Mika Singh.

The video also caught the attention of Shahid Kapoor, who took to Twitter to express his gratitude for the love. He reacted to a video and wrote ‘Too special’ on Twitter with two heart hand emoji.

The actor also reacted to a similar video and wrote, “This is so special.”

Meanwhile, internet users went nostalgic and expressed their happiness to see the iconic film on the big screen. “Shahid, Jab We Met is our favorite movie whenever we are feeling down. Every scene was a classic. You and Kareena were so good. That scene from Hotel Pleasant, the station master scene and the nagada song!” A user wrote. Another added, “It’s not just a film.. It’s an emotion..”

Directed by Imtiaz Ali, ‘When we met’was released across cinemas on 26 October 2007 and starred Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Tarun Arora, Saumya Tandon, Dara Singh and Pavan Malhotra.

Other films re-released in theaters on Valentine’s Day include The brave hearted will take away the bride (1995), Titanic (1997), Minale (2001), Premam (2015), pageant (2015) and me before you (2016).
