Myntra CEO Amar Nagaram resigns

Myntra CEO Amar Nagaram has resigned from his position after three years of leading the fashion e-commerce platform, and will go ahead with his own venture.

According to an email to employees by Flipkart CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy, Mr. Nagaram will be at Myntra until the end of December to ensure a smooth transition, and will be associated in an advisory role.

“After leading Myntra for almost three years, Amar has decided to leave the Flipkart group to start his own venture. As many of you know, Amar has been an integral part of the group for nearly 10 years. and has led various teams at Flipkart prior to his current role, and we will miss his presence on the team,” said the email, a copy of which was seen PTI.

When contacted, Myntra – which is part of the Flipkart Group – confirmed the development.

Mr Krishnamurthy said that over the years, Mr Nagaram has built a strong leadership team at Myntra that is well-positioned to further Myntra’s vision and take the business to newer heights.

“Amar will be with us till the end of December and will be associated with us in an advisory role. We will share the details of his successor soon,” he added.

Mr. Nagaram, who was the Vice President of Flipkart, took over as the CEO of Myntra and Jabong in 2019.
