NDA vice-president candidate Jagdeep Dhankhar files nomination; Attendees include PM Modi, Nadda and Rajnath

Former Bengal Governor and NDA’s candidate for the post of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar reached the Parliament Library Building to file his nomination papers.

After filing his nomination, Dhankhar said, “I will always try to enhance the democratic values ​​of the country.”

Many big leaders including PM Narendra Modi, JP Nadda, Rajnath Singh were present to file the nomination. Union ministers Pashupati Kumar Paras, Anupriya Patel and Ramdas Athawale were also present among others.

“I never dreamed that such an opportunity would be given to a common man like me. A farmer’s son filed nomination today…I am grateful to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi And lead for the occasion,” he said.

Dhankhar will face former Rajasthan governor Margaret Alva, who is the opposition’s choice to replace M Venkaiah Naidu as the country’s vice-president.

National Democratic Alliance’s vice-president Jagdeep Dhankhar on Monday attended a meeting of MPs of various parties supporting his bid before filing his nomination.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several other senior BJP leaders were present at the meeting, including members of the Biju Janata Dal and Lok Janshakti Party.
