Patna: Both the newly elected candidates of JD(U) Aman Bhushan Hazari and Rajiv Kumar Singh took oath as a member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly on Friday in the presence of the CM. Nitish Kumar and many other dignitaries.
Aman Bhushan and Rajiv were elected from Kusheshwar Asthan and Tarapur constituencies respectively in the recently concluded assembly bypolls, which were necessitated following the untimely deaths of two JD(U) MPs Shashi Bhushan Hazari and Mevalalal Choudhary.
speaker Vijay Kumar Sinha administered the oath of membership to both the members at a function held in the reading room of the Vidhan Sabha.
With this, the JD(U)’s total strength in the 243-member state assembly increased to 45 from the current 43.
Other prominent political leaders present on the occasion included Deputy Speaker Maheshwar Hazari, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar, Building Construction Minister Ashok Choudhary, Water Resources Minister. Sanjay Kumar Jha, Food and Consumer Protection Minister Leshi Singh, SC/ST Welfare Minister Santosh Manjhi, Animal and Fisheries Resources Minister Mukesh Sahni and Revenue and Land Reforms Minister Ram Surat Rai.
CM Nitish Kumar congratulated both the new MLAs on taking oath as MLAs.
