Nine killed in four separate road accidents

Nine people were killed in four separate road accidents in the old undivided Warangal and Khammam and Nalgonda districts early today.

A 45-year-old man, identified as government employee Saraiya, and his 35-year-old wife Sujatha died when the car they were traveling in collided with another car in Hanamkonda in the early hours of the day. After coming, she fell from a flyover. , said the police.

Another person in the car was seriously injured in a horrific road accident. He was admitted to MGM Hospital in Warangal. Subedari police is investigating after registering a case.

An unidentified vehicle rammed an autorickshaw this morning in Bollikunta village of Mamnoor police station area near Warangal, killing two women and three people in an auto, including the driver of the vehicle, in a hit-and-run case. The bodies of the victims were found scattered on the roadside along with the mutilated remains of the autorickshaw by passersby in the morning.

In a separate accident at Dasu Tanda of Tekulapally mandal of Bhadradri-Kothagudem district, two persons were killed when a coal-laden tipper truck rammed into it before dawn.

The deceased was a resident of Yerraigudem village of the same mandal. They were returning home after attending a wedding ceremony when an accident happened to them.

Two persons were killed on the spot when a motorcycle rammed into a truck on Sunday near Balanepalli village under Addavidevulapalli police limits in Nalgonda district.

Police have identified the victims as 45-year-old registered doctor Jakkula Venkanna and 28-year-old car driver Banoth Ranga, a resident of Balanepally village.

According to the police, the accident took place around 3.30 pm when the motorcycle allegedly being speeding lost control and rammed into a truck coming in the opposite direction. The victims were also not wearing helmets, and suffered serious head injuries and breathed their last at the accident site.
