NPCI launches program to connect with payment-oriented service providers

National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has launched NPCI Partner Program (NPP) to collaborate with various technical service providers, application service providers and other similar entities in the industry.

This one-of-a-kind initiative will help in creating innovative offerings that are better aligned with the needs and demands of the contemporary market. It aims to enhance the retail payments ecosystem by reducing time to market and making it more transparent and accessible.

The event will also act as a knowledge-sharing platform along with creation of a market through specialized workshops on NPCI products and services, participation in NPCI pilot projects and community engagement. This will enable service providers to co-create with NPCI and accelerate strategic partnerships within the ecosystem that will be instrumental in solving new challenges in the ever-evolving market dynamics of cash-free payments.

The program will seek participation from payments technology-oriented organizations across the ecosystem. These entities will first be assessed for their fitment and compliance, after which they can apply for pre-certification of their technology stack on the NPCI platform. Participants will have early access to ready-to-test APIs and specifications for native development and deployment. Further, by leveraging the linkages, the program will help NPCI and associate organizations to expose their brands to new audiences, thereby increasing awareness.

Nalin Bansal, Head of Corporate, Fintech Relations and Key Initiatives, NPCI, said, “We are delighted to launch our new partner program that will help connect us with innovative and credible payments-oriented enterprises. Through this programme, we aim to design, co-manufacture and market with such enterprises under the NPCI Partner Programme. Going forward, we aim to drive new and evolving solutions for the ever-growing digital payments market through partnerships.”

NPCI is committed to take this initiative by developing and promoting ‘Make in India’ entities that have been the pillars of the growth of digital payments in the country.
