Omega Secy Mobility launches new EV plant in Faridabad: What to expect – Times of India

Omega Seki Mobility today announced the opening of a new EV plant in Faridabad, Haryana, The company has invested around USD 10 million (Rs 75 crore) on its third EV manufacturing The unit, which will have a production capacity of 15,000 electric three-wheelers per year, mentioned in the official release.
In addition, the company says that it will increase the manufacturing capacity to 50,000 units in the next three years by investing Rs 150 crore. The company will manufacture cargo electric three-wheeler range: Rage+, Rage+ Rapid, Rage+ Frost and Rage+ Swap and one passenger electric three-wheeler, Stream at the Faridabad EV Plant.
“With the launch of the third facility in Faridabad, Haryana is another important milestone for Omega Secy Mobility’s commitment to grow our business in India. We have an order book of over 50,000 Cargo Electric Three Wheelers. The facility has been set up to meet the growing market demand. I would like to thank the Haryana government, the government has been extremely helpful,” says Uday NarangFounder and President of Omega Seki Mobility.
This is the company’s third manufacturing facility in Faridabad. The first unit manufactures 7,200 electric cargo vehicles annually, while the second facility produces 12,000 electric two-wheelers annually.
“We have so far invested USD 50 million in all three facilities in Faridabad and recently inaugurated a manufacturing facility in Pune for production of electric cargo and passenger vehicles. Also, we are getting good response on our electric passenger vehicle, we are soon going to start another facility in Chennai which will cater to OSM electric passenger vehicles only,” said Uday Narang.
