A spirited and fearless cat recently survived a horrific encounter with a coyote and the whole thing was caught on camera.
Tony Gary, the owner of a house in Texas, USA, shared a heart-wrenching video on Facebook. The clip shows a slender coyote repeatedly charging and attempting to kill a cat on Mr. Gary’s back porch in the middle of the night.

This clip has gone viral on social media. It has been viewed over 24,000 times and received hundreds of comments. While a user said, ‘OMG! That was a close call.. that poor cat probably never felt so scared,” wrote another, “Did the cat escape or did the coyote kill him on the ground??? It’s so painful to watch!”

In the footage, the coyote chases the cat onto a porch and aggressively tries to bite it. The feline, on the other hand, hides under a deck, while the coyote remains unharmed and continues to try to get to the cat. There is a tug of war between the two animals.
At one point, Kitty is seen desperately trying to climb a wooden railing, only to get into the coyote’s jaws. However, the cat frees itself from the predator’s jaw and pushes it away with its front paw.
The coyote attempts to bite the cat again, but the feline is quickly driven off a wooden porch column and out of harm’s way. Finally, the coyote is seen taking a few laps around the porch before recognizing its defeat and running away. The frightened cat, on the other hand, remained on the pillar for more than a minute before losing its grip and falling down.

“Someone almost lost a cat,” Mr Gray wrote on Facebook about the animal’s very close call. It is still unknown what eventually happened to the cat and there is also no word on the identity of the cat’s owner or the cat’s location after it disappeared from the video.
