Over 14 Lakh Students Registered For Maharashtra Board HSC Exam, Over 7 Lakh Are Girls

Maharashtra 12th Board Exam 2023: A total of 14,57,293 students have registered for the exam this year, out of which 7,92,780 are male students and 6,64,441 are female students

Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) Class 12 Exam 2023 is going on. The exam began on February 21 with the English paper and will end on March 20. Maharashtra Board has now released the figures, according to which a total of 14,57,293 students have registered for the 12th examination this year.

Out of the total, 7,92,780 are male students while the number of female students who have registered for this year’s class 12th exam is 6,64,441, reported a leading news daily. The number of students registered in Science stream is 6,60,780. For Arts stream, 4,04,761 students have registered for the annual exam. As far as commerce is concerned, 3,45,532 students are registered across the state. 42,959 students from vocational stream and 3,261 students from ITI stream have registered.

This year the class 12th board exams are being conducted through nine divisional boards. These circles include Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nashik, Latur and Konkan. Apart from this, the number of main centers across the state is 3,195.

Meanwhile, the Maharashtra Board has decided to give students 10 minutes before the exam to read the question paper carefully. The first shift exam started at 11 am and ended at 2 pm. And the second shift starts at 3 PM and ends at 6 PM.

Apart from other guidelines, students have been asked to reach the examination hall half an hour before the commencement of the examination. Students will be allowed to use calculators in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Bookkeeping and Audit.

Considering the stress in a student’s life during exams, the Maharashtra State Board of School Education has appointed counselors to help students during exams.

As per the guidelines of MSBSHSE Board Exam, no student will be allowed to enter the examination hall without the admit card of class 12th. Candidates must carry things like stationery and sanitizer to the exam hall. Students must check the subject, timing and center details before leaving for the exam. They should reach the examination hall at least one hour before the commencement of the examination.
