He directed to take strict action against the elements found involved in any anti-national or anti-social activities.

Singh, while interacting with the officials, stressed on the need to further enhance the intelligence and security grid so that in view of the ongoing cross-border infiltration attempts and increase in drone activities by rogue and anti-national elements, there is no room for anti-peace elements. He said that the personnel on the ground should be informed regularly and coordination should be increased at the ground level for better results.

The police chief directed for effective surveillance and surveillance in their respective areas and stressed on the need to keep a close watch on subversive elements by strengthening highway guards along the border.

He also reviewed the safety of road tunnels in the region and gave necessary instructions regarding their safety. Singh directed the officers to review the preparedness on ground deployment.

Reiterating the use of technology in strengthening the security grid, the DGP stressed on seeking people’s cooperation in strengthening the border grid.

He exhorted the officers to identify the personnel involved in any corrupt practices and take action against them.

Singh said that action is being taken against drug trafficking and yet he stressed upon the Union Territory to eliminate the drug network to eliminate this menace.
