Parliament Live Updates | Both houses adjourned till 2 pm

On the 13th day, both the houses were quickly adjourned due to separate ongoing protests.

Today the Lower House will rise for discussion on the Biodiversity (Amendment) Bill, 2021 and the Appropriation (No. 5) Bill, 2021.

Rajya Sabha will continue its discussion on the Omicron version.

Rajya Sabha adjourned till 2 pm

Within nine minutes of calling the day’s sitting, Rajya Sabha Chairman Venkaiah Naidu adjourned the house till 2 pm.

Several notices were given by the opposition parties to adjourn the day’s work to debate the Lakhimpur Kheri and the SIT report. The Speaker dismissed all the notices.

Day 13 Recap

Both the Houses had early adjournments due to protests by opposition members in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha.

While members of the Upper House protested after the Deputy Speaker again rejected the discussion on the long-running issue of 12 suspended MPs, Lok Sabha members registered their protest over the findings of the SIT report on the Lakhimpur Kheri violence in Uttar Pradesh.
