petition for single ticket entry in mysore

Stakeholders in Mysore’s tourism industry have been asking why the government is not keen on introducing the concept of ‘one ticket, many destinations’ in Mysore when it can go a long way in boosting tourism.

Now, tourists buy separate entry tickets for all destinations in and around Mysore. To make it more convenient, single ticket can be introduced as tourists usually visit all these places during their visit to Mysore.

“We have been urging the government for the last three years to introduce single ticket entry at tourist places, but our requests are not being considered. C. Narayanagowda, president of Hotel Owners Association, said, “We don’t know what the bottleneck is because this facility benefits tourists and the revenue collected in one account can be shared by all stakeholders.”

Instead of purchasing a ticket at each tourist destination, visitors can purchase a single ticket that will allow them to enter multiple places.

Similar views were expressed by others. “Single-ticket entry is common abroad and can be offered on a pilot basis in Mysore during Dussehra. It can be tourism friendly and can also benefit the departments,” said B.S. Prashanth, President, Mysore Tourism Forum said.
