PFC CSR: Providing Motorized Tricycles for the Handicapped

New Delhi: PFC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoA) with Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) for distribution of motorized tricycles to Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) as part of its CSR initiative.

As per the agreement, PFC will provide financial assistance of approx. 4.70 crores to ALIMCO for the initiative. Distribution of these motorized tricycles will be done among the beneficiaries by organizing distribution camps at the block and district level.

The MoA was signed in the presence of RS Dhillon, Chairman and Managing Director, PFC, Rajan Sehgal (IFoS), Chairman and Managing Director, ALIMCO. Rizwanur Rahman, Executive Director (CSR), PFC along with others.

The project will be implemented in a phased manner. In the first phase evaluation camps will be organized for PWD/Divyangjan and in the second phase motorized cycles will be distributed. In the final stage, post-delivery support will be provided.

This project will help in providing more rights and entitlements to the PWDs by envisioning an inclusive and enabling environment. The objective of this initiative is to enhance the quality of life of people with disabilities and to assist them in procurement of durable, sophisticated and scientifically made modern, standard aids and equipment so as to promote physical, social and psychological rehabilitation by reducing the impact of disabilities. can be given At the same time, they are also increasing their economic potential.
