Pingali Venkaiah statue unveiled in Guntur

Housing and district in-charge minister Ch. Ranganatha Raju on Monday unveiled a bronze statue of Pingali Venkaiah installed at the collector’s office here.

Mr Raju said that the statue of Sri Venkaiah was installed on completion of 75 years of independence with the program ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ in March 2021.

Heeding the call given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to celebrate the country’s momentous journey by honoring its freedom fighters, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy visited the home of Pingali Sita Mahalakshmi, daughter of the late Venkaiah, the architect of India Was.
