And as your blessings increase, my enthusiasm and strength to work increase,” the PM said after Modhera’s announcement Mehsana District, famous for its sun templeAs India’s first solar powered village.
Modi said the people of Gujarat have relied on him for the last two decades, due to which the state has emerged as one of the major states of the country.
For this, I salute crores of Gujaratis for their patience. With your efforts, the government and the people together have created a new history. All this has been possible because of your immense faith.”
“Modhera was known throughout the world as the site of the Sun Temple. Thereafter, it will also be recognized as a 100% solar powered village,” the PM remarked.
More than 1,300 solar rooftop systems have been installed in homes, which has significantly reduced the electricity bills of the residents. In addition, the electricity needs of the entire complex of the famous Sun Temple have also been shifted to solar power.
The Prime Minister said that the North Gujarat region has immense potential for development of heritage tourism.
In the next two days, PM will enjoy jamnagarAhmedabad, where he will inaugurate or lay the foundation stone of several projects.
