The body in charge of professional refereeing said it would review a clash between Andy Robertson and assistant referee Constantine Hatzidakis during Liverpool’s game against Arsenal on Sunday.

Video replays showed Hatzidakis raising his arm after colliding with a Liverpool defender at the end of the first half of a Premier League game at Anfield.

The Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) confirmed in a statement that it would look into the matter.

“PGMOL is aware of the incident that occurred between assistant referee Constantine Hatzidakis and Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson at halftime during the Liverpool v Arsenal fixture at Anfield,” it said. “We will conduct a full review of the matter after the game is over.”

Liverpool came back from 2–0 down to earn a 2–2 draw, with Roberto Firmino equalizing in the 87th minute.

After the match, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was unable to shed any light on what happened to Robertson.

“I know it happened, but I didn’t see it,” Klopp said. “If that happens the pictures will speak for themselves.”
