He alleged that the BJP and the RSS have created an atmosphere of hatred in the country and said that suppressing or intimidating people cannot stop the truth from coming out.

congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday said that his Bharat Jodo Yatra has succeeded in “changing the narrative” in the country and brought crores of people together to condemn hatred and spread the message of love.

He alleged that BJP and RSS have created an atmosphere of hatred in the country and said that suppressing or intimidation of people cannot stop the truth from coming out.

“Yatra has achieved something very fundamental, very powerful and what Yatra has done cannot be changed. It has shown that there are two visions of India, one full of hatred, arrogant and cowardly and the other full of love, embracing and brave. It (the Yatra) has made both these points of view very clear.

The Bharat Jodo Yatra, launched by Gandhi on September 7 from Kanyakumari, completed its 130th day on Tuesday and proceeded from Jammu to Kashmir, where the former Congress president will unfurl the tricolor at the party headquarters in Srinagar on January 30. Marathon March.

“Lakhs have walked in support of this yatra, which has changed the narrative in the country. The basic fact is that the journey has been successful and India together and showed that the Indian people strongly believe in love and affection,” Gandhi said.

He said the sole purpose of the yatra is to unite people against the “atmosphere of hatred created by the BJP and the RSS across the country” and inflation and unemployment resulting from the concentration of wealth for a select few.

“We have had a great trip which is coming to an end in the next few days. We learned a lot from it,” he said.

On the controversial BBC documentary ‘India: The Modi Question’, the Congress leader cited Hindu religious books and said that the truth cannot be hidden.

“Truth always comes out even if you ban, suppress the press, control institutions, use CBI, ED. Still, the truth shines through. Bad habit of going out. So no amount of banning or intimidating people can stop the truth from coming out.”

Responding to a question about the Defense Minister’s recent statement that Gandhi was spreading hatred to gain power and tarnish India’s image at international forums, he said his heart was not filled with hatred.

He said, ‘I do not understand how the padyatra, which connects people across the country, is harming India’s interests. I can see how much hatred and violence Rajnath Singh’s party is spreading, harming communities, castes and genders and bringing the country into disrepute.

The Congress leader said Singh was in a party where he needed permission from the top leadership to speak on any issue. He has no choice in the matter and it is good that he has expressed his opinion which he has done on orders from above. Political things will come to the fore when you are engaged in such an effort.

People are meeting me and raising their problems. Now it is my responsibility to take up their issues for resolution.

Gandhi said he only had the people and their issues on his mind. He said, there is clarity in my mind that the hatred and violence being spread in the country should be removed at any cost. I do not accept that India is a country of hatred and violence.”
