Delhi rain: It rained in some parts of Delhi-NCR on Sunday morning, giving relief to the people from the heat. Heavy rain and hailstorm were observed in some parts of the city. On Saturday also it rained in the city since afternoon.
The city was witnessing severe cold for the past several days and Saturday’s rain provided respite to those who were enjoying the rain.
According to civic officials, eight complaints related to felling of trees were received from Jangpura Extension, Defense Colony, Neb Sarai, Saket, GK-2, Paharganj, Malviya Nagar and Kirti Nagar on Saturday.
The rain brought respite from the humidity and heat, but traffic jams and water-logging occurred at many places. People also posted pictures of rain and waterlogging on social media.
Areas that witnessed waterlogging and traffic congestion were Khanpur, Hauzrani, Malviya Nagar, Uttam Nagar, Dhaula Kuan, near AIIMS Flyover, Mehrauli-Badarpur Road, Vikas Marg, ITO, Sikandra Road, Kirti Nagar, Anand Parvat. -Zakhira Road, Ring Road. Majnu’s Tila etc.
