bollywood actors Ranveer singh The police on Sunday said it has sought more time to join the probe in the nude photographs case registered against it.
Singh was summoned on August 22 at the Chembur police station to record his statement in connection with the FIR lodged against him.
A police official said Singh has requested that he be given some time to appear before the police and join the investigation.
The personnel of the Chembur police station visited Singh’s residence on August 12 and served him a notice to join the investigation, but were told that he was not in Mumbai and was due to return on August 16.
An FIR was lodged against Singh at the Chembur police station last month on the basis of a complaint by an office-bearer of a non-profit organisation.
The complaint claimed that the actor “hurt the sentiments of women in general and insulted their modesty through his photographs.”
