‘Ranveer Singh’s bomb a national issue’: Complainant in nude photoshoot split on Twitter

Ranveer Singh’s bum is a national issue. And no it’s not Onion, Singh’s latest photoshoot for Paper Magazine has become a “controversial” topic for some reason and the actor has been in the news ever since. However, this time Singh’s bare feet has become a matter of concern for the country. Or at least for Vedika Choubey, the complainant in the FIR against actor Ranveer Singh for her nude photoshoot. The lawyer recently appeared on an Indian news channel and expressed his “concern” about the actor being naked.

The photos in question show the ’83’ actor flaunting his chiseled body as he posed for the cameras.

When the anchor asked him why it made Choubey so uncomfortable, he replied, “Of course it’s obscene, we can see his (Ranveer Singh’s) ‘bomb’, I have his video, he is in full swing in that video. Kind of naked.” He continued, “I don’t know how many people will understand that.”

On hearing the complainant, the news anchor burst out laughing. As the panel laughed and laughed, Choubey concluded by saying: “Ma’am you can laugh, but this is a normal thing. This is a national issue.”

The video uploaded on the official Twitter handle of NDTV is getting a lot of reactions from the netizens.

While many have supported the actor, the photoshoot did not impress everyone and has now landed the actor in trouble as a case was registered against him. An application was filed with the Mumbai Police on Monday seeking registration of an FIR against Ranveer for “hurting sentiments of women” through his nude pictures on social media, an official said.

The complaint application was submitted by an office-bearer of a non-governmental organization (NGO) at Chembur police station, which is also located in an east Mumbai suburb. The officer said that the complainant said that the actor has hurt the sentiments of women and insulted their modesty with his photographs. The complainant sought to register a case against the actor under the information technology Act and various sections of the Indian Penal Code.
