Red Bull’s Sergio Perez has vowed to fight back to fourth on the grid during Sunday’s British Grand Prix.

Red Bull’s Sergio Perez has vowed to fight back at Silverstone after finishing fourth in qualifying at the British Grand Prix.
Perez finds himself behind Drivers’ Championship rivals Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc, who finished second and third on the grid respectively. Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz, who secured his first F1 pole on Saturday, will start the race from the front.
Currently, Perez is second in the drivers standings, with Red Bull teammate Verstappen ahead of him by 46 points. Ferrari’s Leclerc is right on the tail of the Mexican driver as he is just three points behind him.
Despite being out of the first three on the grid, Perez remained optimistic about his chances on Sunday during the race.
Speaking to the press after his performance on Saturday, the Red Bull driver said he found himself Alfa Romeo’s Zhou Guanyue for the final two laps and it was not a perfect scenario for him. He also said that P4 is not the end of the world and believes he can fight that situation.
Perez also believes he can get good race pace out of the car and believes if he has a good strategy, he should have a great race at Silverstone on Sunday.
“I had Zhou behind me for my last two laps and it wasn’t ideal, but P4 is not the end of the world, we can fight from there.
“We’re all in the same ballpark, we’ve all run very little, so we should be able to get a good race pace and hopefully we’re in the fight.
“It’s quite different from what I had [on Friday] But it should not be the end of the world and as long as we have a good strategy, we should be strong,” Perez said.
