Respect for poor is Modi’s guarantee: PM Modi in Varanasi during projects launch

PM Modi said that it is the poor and the backward societies who have the biggest right to th resources in the country. “…The poor & the backwards societies have the biggest right to the resources of the country. Earlier only rich people had access to the bank. If there is no one to take a guarantee, then how will the bank loan be available?” PM Modi said.

“In the last nine years, the BJP government changed this thinking and opened it for everyone. We opened about fifty crores of Jan Dhan bank accounts…Respect for the poor is Modi’s guarantee,” PM Narendra Modi said.

PM Modi also noted that in just four years, the Vande Bharat is running on 25 routes. “Today, whether it is poor welfare or infrastructure, there is no scarcity of budget…In 50 years, Rajdhani Express ran only on 16 routes, 35 years ago Shatabdi Express ran only on 19 routes. But Vande Bharat is running on 25 routes in just 4 years…Kashi’s rapid development will continue with Baba’s blessings,” PM Modi said.

Launching an attack on the previous government, PM Modi said, “The schemes of previous governments were made in air-conditioned rooms, they did not follow up on the implementation…BJP government met the beneficiaries, and we started a culture of direct benefit & direct feedback…In the last 9 years, we have not made schemes for just one family and one generation, but we have worked keeping in mind that the lives of future generations should also improve.”

Speaking of the development projects worth ₹12,000 crore, the prime minister said, “A record number of devotees will come to Kashi during the festival of Sawan; Uttar Pradesh including Kashi has got a gift of ₹12,000 crores.”

As PM Modi made his way in his car towards the launch event in Varanasi, people lined up even in heavy rain to welcome their prime minister.
