Toll rates on Chennai Outer Ring Road (CORR) are being revised from July 5. The revised rates will be applicable till March 31, 2023.
The collection of user fee on the 62 km long road running between Vandalur and Minjoor began in January 2022 at Varadarajapuram, Kollappancherry, Palavedu and Chinnamullaivoyal. Modifications, mostly upwards, range from ₹3 per trip for oversized vehicles to ₹22 per trip. At last count, the road saw traffic of around 35,000 vehicles a day.
Local residents are protesting against toll collection for their vehicles. They say passes were not being issued to local residents as was the case at other toll plazas.
