London : The Russian government On Monday the United States, European Union member states, Britain, Japan, Canada, Norway, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland and Ukraine approved the list referred to as “unfriendly countries” and declared that companies from these countries or All corporate deals with individuals will have to be approved by a government commission.

Russian government A resolution to this effect was passed as tensions between the West and Russia escalated amid the Kremlin’s tight grip on the Ukraine invasion. The move comes in the wake of severe economic sanctions faced by Russia over the Ukraine conflict.

On Monday, a steady stream of businesses, including major accounting and media firms, announced they would stop doing business with Ukraine. Oil climbed above $135 a barrel after the White House considered imposing sanctions on Russian supplies.

The list also comes after a presidential order on March 5, which allowed Russian governmentCompanies and citizens must temporarily pay foreign currency loans in rubles to foreign creditors of “unfriendly countries”.

To make such payments, the government stated that debtors should open a special type of ruble account with a Russian bank and transfer in rubles an equivalent of the outstanding foreign currency amount according to the central bank’s official exchange rate on the day of payment .

This temporary arrangement for payment of foreign debt applies to payments in excess of 10 million rubles ($76,046) per month. ($1 = 131.5000 rubles)
